In real life I am an amateur astronomer, online instructor, artist, soapmaker, perfumer, jewelry maker, and student and I am a disabled, queer, bipoc woman.
Out of all the games I’ve played or watched lets plays of-BioShock, COD, Gears of War, Smash Bros, Wolf Among Us, Dress to Impress-the Sims franchise is by far my favorite. It’s low risk, high reward, highly customizable (all hail the glory that is Sims 3) and hilarious. I mean in what game do you stop to read the description of a lamp for Grim’s sake?! Even the most mundane objects have fun easter eggs that I find great comfort in. I aim to make my content just as fun as I find the game.
I grew up on LilSimsie, Quxxn, and HybridPanda. I met my best friend, sister from another mister, of nearly a decade on Sims Freeplay in middle school, but I’ve been obsessed much earlier than that. From the first time I played SimCity 2000 in the school computer lab circa 2005, I have been in love with the Sims Franchise. I watched it grow and the fanbase along with it. I spent more time watching others play than playing it myself and despite the critique and current issues, I don’t think any competitor will truly compete with the Sims. Personal beef with the handling of the franchise aside, there have been a sudden jump in the quality of content in updates alone. I am forever a Sims girlie-even if I branch out in the future to other life simulation games.
Now that I’m all grown up and have been playing for over a decade, I’m learning how to make mods, custom content, Let’s Plays, and Sims Machinima movies. I will make mistakes, I maaay swear a bit, and I definitely will have fun! There are a multitude of ideas I have lined up and I hope you all enjoy the journey with me and laugh at my ridiculous sims shenanigans.
